Book Worm

no, i'm not in a giant bathroom, i'm in front of a big white house in my neighborhood-- it looks like a giant ice sculputure or igloo.
I pretty much wear contact lenses everyday and so I thought I'd give my eyes the rest for the day by wearing my glasses.  They're actually a mens pair that I found a few years ago -- I must have a big head or something because they fit just right.  My shoes are new (to me)-- a memorial day weekend present to myself via Ebay.  They are so comfortable and yet have a little heel which is the perfect height for walking and bussing it around town.

Damien took these pics after he got home from work-- now that he's all done taking the A.R.E. (architecture liscense exams), I don't feel so bad about asking him to take my "outfit du jour" pics.  They actually have a name for the spouses/significant others of the people that are studying for these tests, they call them the "A.R.E. widows".  And while I didn't feel completely abandoned, it is nice having my husband back-- he beats a tripod that's for sure!

  3. Yay for husband being back! I love this look with glasses. I wore glasses every day for years and years and years, and by the looks of things I will be needing everyday glasses again soon. I love what frames can do to your face, and a whole look, but I also tend to get a bit bored - it is like wearing the same lipstick everyday with every outfit. I wish I could afford to have a waredrobe of glasses too! :)

  4. The high waisted red pants are an amazing find and look so great on you! I have been wearing contacts for 13 years and glasses for 16. My glasses are actually vintage cateyes but I don't wear them often as they make me feel geeky.

  5. Very studious indeed! I think us ladies who wear contacts everyday should debut our glasses more often! Mine are currently glued together, however. They broke, and I never bothered getting them replaced yet! Looking lovely as always! xx

  7. Awwww that's a funny name. I'm glad he is back. These photos are really lovely lady. I like how it looks like a giant igloo. San Francisco is full of random houses. Sigh, I miss San Francisco.
You look like the most adorable book worm ever. I love the collar poking through over the sweater, lovely
