Greetings from Saudi Arabia!  Haha, just kidding.  But by the looks of these pics it could certainly be some place as dry, hot and windy as the desert (even though the bay is actually off in the distance).  These were actually taken last weekend at Baylands Nature Preserve in Palo Alto, which looked and sounded awesome on their website, but we drove down there to find it was actually kind of barren, stinky and surrounded by bird poop and cell phone towers.  So no, I don't really recommend the place, haha.

However,  I did want to show you this jumpsuit I bought a couple months back that I just love to death.  Its like wearing pajamas and though it might not be the ideal thing to wear when its windy (which it kind of always is in the bay area), it is the ideal thing to wear when its warm and you just want to be comfy and feel sort of put together at the same time.  Because really that's the reason I love wearing one piece anything--be it a dress or a jumpsuit-- it makes getting dressed that much easier.  And who doesn't want that?

This last trip to Ireland was bittersweet.  Damiens father passed away suddenly around Easter time so this was our first trip back since his passing.  We spent most of  our time with family as we always do, but this time even more so.  It was especially important to see how his mom was doing and make sure she was doing ok with our eyes.  Phone calls just are great and all, but they just aren't the same as seeing someone in person.  Anyway, she's a strong lady and has tons of friends around her that visit almost daily, not to mention Damien's sister and her kids live only 20 minutes away.  Shane totally bonded with his cousin Darcey, who is the sweetest, most patient 3 year old I've ever met.  She never complained once when Shane pulled her hair or used her as leverage to pull himself up.

When we weren't with family or friends we were exploring the surrounding beaches of Donegal and enjoying the  gorgeous weather  we were lucky enough to have.  I think it only rained once the whole 2 weeks! - The luck of the Irish, indeed.

I guess I wanted to get to the point where  I missed taking outfit photos before I started taking them again. Lo and behold I'm actually at that point-- granted, a bit rusty and not to mention the wind was not making it easy to get any decent shots yesterday morning, but I'm posting these anyway! :0  This dress is one of the survivors of the massive closet clean out that I just did.  I'd say I got rid of about 8 Ikea bags worth of stuff and it feels fantastic.  Now its so much easier to see what wearable clothing I have -- I'm making it a point to only hang onto pieces I  LOVE and not just feel ho-hum about. And I'm definitely gonna hang on to the Osh Kosh wearing kid in the photos, hehe.  Shane is 10 months old now, believe it or not, and every bit the little mischievious scamp.  One of the things I love about him is that if he's not in the mood to smile, he just doesn't.  Strangers that meet him when he's int that mood comment on how serious he seems to be, but really he's just "keepin it real."  Like he's saying "i'll smile when I feel like it,ok?" hah. Anway, I included some bonus photos below that show him throwing on the charm 100%.
