Yellow & Red
Yellow and red are possibly one of my favorite color combinations of all time. Lucky for me it was warm enough on Summer Solstice to break out this sundress I bought a few months back but still had not had a chance to wear. I wore it to work at the office with this bright yellow cardigan that I thrifted a couple years back. Sometimes I'm not quite sure what is exactly "office appropriate" (i.e., bearing your shoulders in a sundress?) so I ended up erring on the side of caution and threw on the cardigan before I left the house. This is about as "business casual" as I can get on a hot day in San Francsico.
p.s. These are the first photos I've taken with my new camera and I'm really stoked with the results. After using my crapadelic point and shoot for so long I was starting to wonder if it was really the camera's fault or if I was just a shitty photographer (or maybe a combo of the two)?-- anyway, a camera upgrade makes such a huge difference. Hooray!

i have tried to ignore my desire for hasbeens, but they just look too good on you here! i wish h&m in Belfast had stocked them, they are super expensive on ebay but they look so good! beautiful dress and i love the nautical necklace :)

Wow, the photos taken with your new camera look great! I'm in love with your sailboat necklace, although I think I might've mentioned that to you before, and the red sundress is just perfect! I love the little detail at the top! Hope you're enjoying that beautiful sunshine you seem to be having! :)

ReplyDeleteHow funny I used to have a vintage dress like this so it's interesting to see how the style has been re-interpreted by a contemporary designer.
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried pairing red & yellow before, you've inspired me to give it a try!
