What's In a Name?

The shop's new obsession?  Gold wire name pins.  I love their cursive script and the old-fashioned names they spell out (Zelda, anyone?). They were originally used as souvenirs at American county and state fairs, some dating all the way back the Victorian era.  And the great thing is, they're made of 12 kt gold filled metal so they don't tarnish.  70 years old never looked so good!

Each one of them is made of 12kt gold filled metal, which is "actually a layer of gold-pressure bonded to another. Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating as filled literally has 100% more gold than gold plating. Gold filled is much more valuable and tarnish resistant. It does not flake off, rub off or turn colors. anyone who can wear gold can wear gold filled without worries of any allergic reaction to the jewelry."
