New Boots

These were taken by my lovely co-worker Lisa , this morning on Masonic Street.  She didn't even bat a lash when I sheepishly asked her to take a few photos-- what a doll. And she's got a background in film and camera stuff-- I really lucked out in the office mate department, I must say.
As for the boots, I got them a couple weeks ago and have been wearing them non-stop ever since-- they're so comfy and go with almost everything I own.  This dress was a custom order my mom had made in the Philippines when she was a teneager.  Apparently in the 1960s, it was common for regular middle class folks to get their wardrobes made by the local seamstress.  Wish that were the case today!  Anyway, It's a tad too short but eventually I'll let them hem down a bit-- for now, while it remains sunny, it feels good to get some sun on these pale legs of mine.

  3. Love the colour and shape of your dress, also the history behind it (you're lucky you can wear your mom's vintage clothing!).

I just got back from the Philippines, I'd been hoping to get some items tailor made for me but didn't end up having the time. :( Next time!
