Over my holidays in Ireland I had enough time to read a few books, one of which was this really great memoir by one of my favorite ladies, Diane Keaton.  Its mainly written as an homage to her mother who died of complications dues to Alzheimer's in the late 1990s.  In the book  she also details her life growning up in Southern California, her early struggles with an eating disorder and touches on her three major love relationships with none other than Woody Allen, Warren Beatty and Al Pacino.  Not too shabby of a list, huh?   Her self-effacing manner and her lack of self confidence is what first endeared me to her and of course her complete originality in the style department.  Not to mention the fact that even though she has to be pushing 70, she still looks like a million dollars.  I totally recommend the book if you're a fan of autobiographies and simple honest writing.

  2. I would like to pass The Liebster award on to you. I was just awarded it and had to choose 11 other blogs with a readership of less than 300 to pass the award to.

No worries if it is not something you are interested in, I just wanted to pass it along to you as I so enjoy your lovely blog.

Details of the award and how it works can be found back on my blog at www.kikiandthegypsy.blogspot.co.uk
