City Hall Wedding
Are you a girl who's always dreamed of a big wedding? To tell you the truth, I never seriously thought of what type of wedding I'd have until I was asked, and then to my surprise (and to the dismay of my Catholic mother, but that's another story) my first thought was, "It's got to be City Hall." I started dreaming of a chic simple vintage dress against the backdrop of City Hall's gorgeous domed rotunda. I chose this vintage inspired Trina Turk and a simple daisy bouquet.
You see in S.F. we don't just have any City Hall. We have a Beaux-Arts architectural masterpiece that rivals any building in Europe. Plus it's got a fascinating history-- Marilyn took the plunge with DiMaggio here, as did Frida and Diego. These two liked it so much they did it twice actually.

First Time
Here's the dress in the shop right now that started all this pondering. If I could do it all over again I would do it in this one: 1960s LATTICED mod a-line party shift by Custard Heart Vintage
Or this one: Three Tiered Lace 1960s dress by Cult of Aphrodite Vintage
Or even this one: Porcelain Winter 1960s party dress by Thrush VintageHere's the dress in the shop right now that started all this pondering. If I could do it all over again I would do it in this one: 1960s LATTICED mod a-line party shift by Custard Heart Vintage

ReplyDeleteWonderful, stylish post. The daisy bouquet looks so innocent! I bet you turned heads as many heads as Marilyn when you left the building!
ReplyDeleteAwww, you're so sweet Kate G. actually the mayor was walking into the building as we were leaving and yes, he was checking me out-- the dog that he is!
